I’ve acquired an old shelf and hacked around a bit with the legs to make myself a shoe rack. If I can hold myself to using it correctly, I’ll build a prettier one. The colours do make me chuckle, though.

The ukulele has a spot on the wall, as many bits and bobs now do: notes, calendars, souvenirs and the like. I do love having it up there, but it’s much more fun when played.

I’m still scratching my head about the bike. I’ve decided that it needs to live up here. The shed is too much hassle and it’s light enough that it can be carried up stairs with minimal effort. Anyway, I’m toying with the idea of having it hang off the wall like the bikes in the shed do, but it sticks waaayyy out into the room. Hmm.

Overall, I love this room more every day. It’s feels really satisfying to have crafted my own environment. It’s got all the things I like best, and it just feels thoroughly lived in.

Bedside tables are next methinks.
